something blue

so i'm a little late to the blogging about something blue...

these days, tae is blue.  on thursday, she cried at school.  she told me later that she cried because she missed me.  and she missed pop-pop.  and she missed gi-gi.  and on and on.  when we left school on thursday, she told me that she was going to miss her school.  when we left the office, she told me that she missed the office.  when we got home, she told me that she missed our home.

and then this morning, she was talking about how she misses my parents (they went to NY for the weekend).  she asked me if i missed my mommy and daddy.  i told her that i did, and that it was ok to miss them.  she told me that she misses me when i go to work. 

and then she said, "and i miss myself!"

Ahhhh! She and Pearl are a lot alike. Do you have the book "The Kissing Hand"? Pearl has Marcia kiss her kissing hand every morning. She claims it makes the long 3 hours of preschool pass more quickly. xo

Aw, she misses HERSELF???
Maybe you could make her a little photo book with pictures in it of all the people and things she loves, so she could take it everywhere with her and at least be able to look at everyone and everything she misses!

I can tell you that this is such a normal normal phase. I think it is great time to re affirm your love constantly though...but re affirming is great regardless of the circumstances when you have kids Tae's age...

sigh... this is SOOOO on my mind right now; LN starts school tomorrow. sniff. I hope Tae's blues go away soon - that way, mommy's blues will go away soon too. Right?
